The History of Paper
Chase Farms |
|
Paper Chase Farms, a 115-acre
full-service equestrian center, was established in 1985 in
Middleburg, Virginia by Jan Neuharth, a Los Angeles lawyer, and Joseph Keusch,
a professional horseman from Switzerland. Under their direction and guidance,
Paper Chase Farms grew to include boarding, training, lessons, foxhunting,
clinics with world-class equestrians, horse shows, horse sales and media events,
and came to be regarded as one of the premier equestrian facilities of its kind.
In 1996, Paper Chase
Farms, Inc. launched Paper Chase Consulting and Paper Chase Productions, divisions offering
equestrian consulting and the development and sales of equestrian products.
Later that year,
The Paper
Chase Cup® jump cup was introduced to the market.
After running the
equestrian center for 15 years,
Jan Neuharth and Joseph Keusch announced on September 15, 2000 that they
would sell the Middleburg horse farm facility in order to devote more time to
their family and to the other Paper Chase Farms divisions. The horse farm was
sold to the Hanley family from Fairfax,
Virginia who christened the facility Fox Chase Farm.
In January 2003,
Paper Chase Farms, Inc. announced the formation of the newest addition to the
company,
Paper Chase Farms Publishing Group. The
first novel to be published by the company,
The Hunt,
was released in June 2003.
The Chase
was released in June 2006. The release date for the next novel is expected to be
2010.
